The Palm Jebel Ali project in Dubai is making significant strides, with the first eight fronds set to be ready by early 2025. This marks a key phase in kickstarting the villa infrastructure and civil works on the island.
Nakheel recently announced the awarding of a Dh810 million contract for essential marine operations, which includes dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement. These tasks are critical to preparing for villa construction across all fronds of Palm Jebel Ali.
Mobilization efforts are already in progress, and Jan De Nul Dredging is expected to complete the marine works in just over two years, according to Nakheel. This timeline is essential to meet the overall development schedule and ensure the project is delivered on time.
A new public access road linking Palm Jebel Ali directly to Sheikh Zayed Road is also under construction, enhancing accessibility for future residents and visitors.
Last year, more than 700 villas were launched as part of Phase 1 of the project. Demand was overwhelming, with all units selling out within hours, driven by strong interest from brokers and investors.
The continued progress in both infrastructure and marine works is crucial to ensuring the homes will be handed over by late 2026. Upon completion, Palm Jebel Ali will span 13.4 kilometers, featuring 16 fronds and 91 kilometers of beachfront. Set to be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, it is expected to accommodate approximately 35,000 families, establishing a new benchmark for luxury living in Dubai.
These developments underscore the ambitious scope of Palm Jebel Ali and its transformative potential for Dubai’s coastline. With substantial investments and strategic initiatives underway, the island is poised to offer an unmatched residential experience in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
