About Dubai South
Dubai South is a master-planned district of about 145 sq km in the south-west of Dubai, built around Al Maktoum International Airport. Previously called Dubai World Central, it was renamed in 2015 and today combines residential neighbourhoods, a logistics and aviation district, and the Expo City Dubai site.
Residential areas include Emaar South, The Pulse and South Bay, with apartments, townhouses and villas. The community sits between Emirates Road (E611) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), and suits buyers who want more space and lower entry prices, and who are betting on the area’s long-term growth around the airport.

Dubai South is closer to Abu Dhabi than to Downtown, so most residents drive and the main routes are Emirates Road (E611), Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Expo Road (E77). The nearest operating metro station is Expo 2020 on the Red Line, and an extension toward Al Maktoum International Airport has been announced but is not yet in service.
